Delaware Park: Delaware Park has operated an online casino and poker site since the state went live in 2013. It will be perfectly positioned to run an online sportsbook if betting goes legal.
Delaware Park already runs an online rewards program for its casino players and this should roll over to the sportsbook. In addition, Delaware Park has a tradition of running daily offers for customers across its casino and poker room.
Harrington Raceway: Harrington Raceway & Casino has a retail sportsbook in operation – Murphy’s Race and Sports Book – where you can place bets on pro and college sports, plus horse racing and golf.
The casino runs the Players Club which offers VIP savings and benefits such as credits and discounts. We expect the online Harrington Raceway sportsbook to offer similar perks.
Online Sports Betting in Delaware
The tiny state of Delaware was one of the pioneers in offering legalized online gambling. It passed the first online casino laws in the US and went live with retail sports betting in 2018.
In June 2018, Delaware began offering legal sports wagering at its three casinos at Harrington Raceway, Dover Downs and Delaware Park. However, currently, there are no online sportsbooks in Delaware, and no plans to launch any.
Sports betting is strictly regulated by the Delaware State Lottery Office. You must be 21 or over to place bets in person at a DE retail sportsbook.

Retail Sportsbooks to Visit in Delaware
Sports betting in Delaware is dominated by three casinos, each with its own retail sportsbook:
- Delaware Park (Monday-Saturday 11 am-11 pm; Sunday 10 am-11 pm)
- Dover Downs (Bally’s Dover Race & Sports Book: Monday–Friday 12 pm–9 pm; Saturday 11 am-9 pm; Sunday 10 am–9 pm)
- Harrington Raceway (Murphy’s Race and Sportsbook 11 am–11 pm)
Wagering hours tend to cover daylight hours only. Place bets in the casino itself or visit self-service machines down by the track. Look out too for special parlay cards, which are rather unique to Delaware. These were legalized in 2009 before being withdrawn until 2018 when sports betting legislation was relaxed. You simply fill out parlay cards to place multi-leg bets on sports of your choice.
