With the NFL Draft completed at the end of April and team rosters pretty much set, it’s a good time to look ahead at the upcoming 2023 season and get in the action on future betting odds with the best sportsbook bonuses and betting offers.

NFC East Odds

The NFC East is an interesting case because the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles have the fifth-lowest odds among the eight division favorites on DraftKings at +115, which is currently the highest payout. They are +100 on BetMGM and +105 on Caesars.

This is likely because the NFC East has not had a repeat champion since the Eagles did so in 2004 — the longest streak in NFL history. But it has to happen again at some point, and these Eagles have a strong case to be that team when you look at not only what they’ve been building over the last few years, but also the fact that they had what many analysts consider to be among the best drafts.

The Eagles got excellent value on first-round picks Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith to solidify an already formidable defense. They also traded for Lions running back D’Andre Swift during the draft to give superstar quarterback Jalen Hurts and the offense another high-upside weapon.

The Eagles finished two games ahead of the Dallas Cowboys (+175), 4.5 games ahead of the New York Giants (+500) and 5.5 games ahead of the Washington Commanders (+900) last season, and there is no reason to believe any of those teams have closed the gap on Philadelphia.

Pro Football Focus awarded both the Eagles and Giants with A+ grades in the drafts. The Commanders received a B, while the Cowboys received a C+.

If you’re simply looking for a higher payout, the Giants are a reasonable gamble when you consider their draft grade and how much of a difference head coach Brian Daboll made in his first season in New York last year.

The Giants improved from 4-13 to 9-7-1 and made the playoffs for the first time in six years. General manager Joe Schoen then addressed the team’s biggest needs by using the team’s first three drafts picks on a cornerback, a center and a wide receiver who all went lower in the draft than most pundits expected.

But also keep in mind that the Eagles went 3-0 against the Giants last season including a 28-point win in New Jersey and a 31-point win in the playoffs. Despite small improvements to the offense, the Giants still lack the firepower to match the Eagles. It is also uncertain hold long star running back Saquon Barkley will remain sidelined while holding out for a new contract.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys have better odds than the Giants yet are arguably a riskier bet. They fired their offensive coordinator and drafted a new tight end in the second round which many mock draft boards considered to be poor value.

The Eagles are simply a safe bet, assuming they stay relatively healthy, with a better than even payout. Plus, despite what history says on teams repeating as champion in the NFC East, the Eagles have won 40% of the last 10 division championships. They are also coming off a 14-win season, which hasn’t happened in the division since Washington went 14-2 in 1991.
