SPORTS betting has been legalized in New Hampshire, with the state passing the $1billion mark for sports bets wagered since its introduction in 2019.
The online service was launched via the DraftKings sportsbook app, with a number of land-based sportsbooks available, and more expected to be added to the sports betting service in the coming months – six cities approving legislation to set up retail sportsbooks.
While there are, in effect, casinos operating, the state has banned commercial casinos and New Hampshire is expecting to see a major expansion of its sports betting services this year.
New Hampshire has also benefitted from stricter gambling laws in neighboring states – more than a quarter of all Super Bowl wagers came from Massachusetts zip codes. The only limit to New Hampshire online sports betting is that they are placed inside state borders.

The state has no functioning race tracks left, but simulcast horse racing is available at former tracks, with advance-deposit wagering operators like TwinSpires and TVG also allowed in New Hampshire.

No moves have been made to make online casinos available and charitable entities run the land-based casinos. They offer roulette and blackjack along with other table games, but slots are not allowed.
