Draftkings Pick 6

What Is The DraftKings Pick6? Welcome Offer & Prizes Payouts

Prior to growing into an online sportsbook powerhouse in the USA, the DraftKings app first earned its chops in the realm of daily fantasy sports. Their new contest, the DraftKings Pick6, is a throwback to the days when DFS ruled the house at DraftKings. It’s a peer to peer contest in which you compete against other players, and the outcomes are based on results that are similar to betting on player props.

Actually, the name is a bit of a misnomer. With the DraftKings Pick6, you can compete against other players with as few as two players among your selections. No players can be chosen twice and you can’t take more than one player from any team. All players on your chosen team must be playing in the same league and sport.

How DraftKings Pick6 Works

With the DraftKings Pick6, you choose your players, then select a statistical category. Suppose you’re choosing an NBA team. You could select Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors and then for his chosen statistical category, pick made threes. Curry will be assigned a number of three-point field goals for his next game. You choose whether he will get more or less than that number.

Next, you select at least one more and up to as many as five further selections, each from a different NBA team. Then you enter into competition against other players with the same number of NBA player selections as your squad. It will cost you a $1 entry fee to get into the DraftKings Pick6 competition. You can enter up to 10 times in one competition.

How DraftKings Pick6 Prizes Payout

DraftKings Pick6 competitions are scored based on the number of correct picks selections made by the participants. A portion of the total prize pool for each contest is pre-assigned to entries with a certain number of correct picks.

Winning entries receive an even share of the prizes. The fewer total winning entries in a contest, the larger the prize for each winning entry.

For example, a five pick NFL contest with a $10,000 total prize pool would see $8,000 of that prize pool paid out to players who went five-for-five. The remaining $2,000 would be divided up among those who correctly hit on four out of five picks.

Now let’s say there were 320 contestants entered into this competition who went five-for-five. Each player would win $25, since 8,000 divided by 320 is 25.
