Montana sports betting was legalized in 2019 following the passing of HB 725. This bill was signed by Gov. Steve Bullock, giving full control of sports betting to the Montana Lottery.
Currently, only Sports Bet Montana offers regulated sports betting. You can bet through an Apple smartphone by downloading the software from the Apple App Store. Alternatively, install an Android .apk file direct from the Sports Bet Montana website.
Under Montana gaming law, you can place bets in person at a valid retail location. There is a full list of Montana Lottery agents on the Sports Bet Montana site. From Absarokee to Wolf Point, you can place bets at hundreds of casinos, bars and kiosks as long as you are at their location.
