Online Sports Betting in Oregon
Sports betting went live in Oregon in 2019. While other states launched into their legalized sportsbook industries with a raft of mobile sports betting sites, Oregon was a little quieter.
To start, the Oregon Lottery launched its own mobile sportsbook which was the sole betting outlet in the state. DraftKings took the app over in 2022.
DraftKings: Much like in New Hampshire, DraftKings has a monopoly over Oregon mobile sportsbooks. The US daily fantasy sports provider took over the Oregon Lottery Commission’s Scoreboard app in January 2022. DraftKings is now Oregon’s primary sports betting operator.

Oregon Sportsbook Regulation in 2022
Sports betting in Oregon was rolled out in 2019. An Oregon Lottery-run mobile app and one retail sportsbook were all to show for the new legal landscape. However, betting on most sports became legal in Oregon.
In 2022, an additional bill – SB 1503 – was introduced to legalize betting on college sports in Oregon. Currently, there is too much resistance to the bill for it to make it into law.
Oregon’s monopoly on online sportsbooks could end if a new bill goes through. Gov. Kate Brown supports a new amendment – OR HB 2127 – that would move licensing duties from the Oregon Lottery to the Oregon Racing Commission.

Sports betting was legalized in Oregon in mid-2019. Just as there is a single legal online sportsbook in Oregon, so there is just one retail sportsbook. The Chinook Winds Casino opened a sportsbook a month after sports betting went legal in the Beaver State.
