Virgin Bet Sign Up Offer: Bet £10 Get £30 in Free Bets

Virgin Bet’s welcome deal asks for one £10 bet at odds of 1/2 or bigger and pays £30 in free bets once it settles. That makes it one of the more forgiving qualifying bets on the market: you can back a short-priced favourite and still qualify, and the free bets arrive whether that first bet wins or loses.

The catch, such as it is, lies in how the £30 is split. Two £10 tokens work across the sportsbook; two £5 tokens are for Bet Builder only, at evens or bigger. Knowing that before you start makes the offer far easier to use well.

What the Virgin Bet free bets offer gives you

Within 14 days of signing up, you deposit at least £10 and place a cash bet of £10 or more on any sport except virtuals, at odds of 1/2 (1.5) or bigger. The bet must settle inside the same 14 days. Once it does, a pop-up appears when you log in; accept it within seven days and Virgin Bet credits four tokens:

Signing up and claiming the £30

The terms, worked through in pounds

The qualifying bet. You stake £10 on a football favourite at 4/6 (1.67). It meets the 1/2 minimum. If it wins you get £16.70 back; if it loses you have spent £10. Either way, the £30 in tokens follows settlement.

A price that is too short. £10 at 2/5 (1.4) falls below 1/2 and will not qualify. Check the decimal odds on the betslip read 1.5 or more.

The each-way trap. An each-way bet of £5 each way (£10 total) does not qualify. You need £10 each way, so £20 in total.

Using a £10 token. You place a £10 free bet on a single at 3.00. It wins and returns £20; the token stake is not returned. Put the same token on a treble at 8.00 and a win returns £70.

Using a £5 Bet Builder token. A £5 Bet Builder at 4.00 that comes in pays £15. Remember the evens minimum on these tokens; Bet Builders priced below 2.0 will not accept them.

Making the Virgin Bet free bets go further

Treat the four tokens differently. The two £10 tokens are flexible, so they suit accumulators or mid-priced singles where the stake-not-returned rule hurts least. The £5 Bet Builder tokens have to be at evens or bigger anyway, so build combinations you would genuinely bet on a weekend’s football rather than chasing long shots. And accept the pop-up promptly: the seven-day acceptance window is easy to miss if you log in only on Saturdays.

Why Virgin Bet’s tokens might not show up

Virgin Bet offers the free bets by pop-up once your qualifying bet settles, and you then have seven days to accept them. If the pop-up never comes, the qualifying bet is the place to look.

• Cancelled, voided or cashed-out bets do not count.
• Each-way bets must have a total stake of at least £20, £10 each way.
